Patient Safety Education
Empowering patients with the knowledge and resources to participate actively in their own safety and care.
The Speak Up Program
MISH Hospital proudly participates in the Speak Up program, a patient safety initiative developed by The Joint Commission in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The Speak Up campaign encourages patients to take an active role in their healthcare by asking questions, understanding their treatment plans, and communicating openly with their care team.
The program is built on the principle that informed and engaged patients experience better outcomes and fewer preventable errors. At MISH Hospital, we integrate Speak Up resources into every stage of the patient experience, from pre-admission through discharge and follow-up care.
